United Spirits Limited (Diageo India) today announced its unaudited consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). The alcobev leader reported a steady performance in its core operational revenue alongside a notable expansion in overall net profitability, driven by strong contributions across its beverage alcohol portfolio and sports segment activities.
Top-Line Revenue and Core Operational Income
United Spirits recorded revenue from operations of ₹6,122 crore for the first quarter of FY27, marking a 5.1% growth compared to ₹5,823 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q1 FY26). On a sequential basis, operational revenue stood at ₹6,122 crore against ₹6,855 crore recorded in Q4 FY26.
Other income for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹73 crore, compared to ₹62 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹295 crore in Q4 FY26. Consequently, the company's total income reached ₹6,195 crore for the quarter under review, compared to ₹5,885 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹7,150 crore in Q4 FY26.

Segment Assets & Liabilities: Sports segment assets stood at ₹948 crore, while liabilities were recorded at ₹519 crore as of June 30, 2026.
Comprehensive Expenditure Breakdown
Total expenses for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹5,795 crore, compared to ₹5,521 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹6,407 crore in Q4 FY26. The major cost components included:
Excise Duty: Represented the largest expenditure head at ₹3,414 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹3,274 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹3,801 crore in Q4 FY26.
Cost of Materials Consumed: Stood at ₹1,179 crore vs. ₹1,185 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹1,736 crore in Q4 FY26.
Purchase of Stock-in-Trade: Decreased to ₹60 crore from ₹135 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹90 crore in Q4 FY26.

Net tax expense for continuing operations during the quarter was ₹82 crore (including current tax of ₹84 crore and deferred tax credit of ₹2 crore).
Profit after tax from continuing operations stood at ₹237 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹257 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹568 crore in Q4 FY26.
Discontinued Operations & Total Profit
Discontinued operations delivered a profit before tax of ₹268 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹224 crore in Q1 FY26. After deducting tax expenses of ₹42 crore (compared to tax credit of ₹16 crore in Q4 FY26), profit after tax from discontinued operations was ₹226 crore for Q1 FY27.
Taking continuing and discontinued operations together, total consolidated net profit for the period reached ₹463 crore in Q1 FY27, reflecting an 11.0% year-on-year increase compared to ₹417 crore in Q1 FY26. Total comprehensive income for the quarter stood at ₹463 crore.

Basic & Diluted EPS (Continuing Operations): Stood at ₹3.34 per share for Q1 FY27, compared to ₹3.62 per share in Q1 FY26 and ₹8.00 per share in Q4 FY26.
