CRISIL Limited Reports Q2 CY26 / Q1 FY27 Results: Consolidated Revenue Jumps 27.6% YoY to ₹1,075.39 Crore; Net Profit Reaches ₹216.46 Crore

The Board of Directors of Crisil Limited, at its meeting today approved the unaudited financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026.

Crisil's consolidated income from operations for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q2FY26), was up 27.6% to Rs 1,075.4 crore, compared with Rs 843.0 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year Consolidated total income for Q2FY26 rose 26.5% to Rs 1,096.5 crore, compared with Rs 866.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Profit before tax was up 24.4% to Rs 279.8 crore in Q2FY26, compared with Rs 225.0 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Profit after tax was up 26.2% to Rs 216.5 crore, compared with Rs 171.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Crisil's consolidated income from operations for the half year ended June 30, 2026 (H1 FY26), was up 28. 8% to Rs 2,133.1 crore, compared with Rs 1656.2 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Consolidated total income for H1 FY26 rose 27.6% to Rs 2,182.0 crore, compared with Rs 1710.3 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Profit before tax was up 30.1% to Rs 588.2 crore in H1 FY26, compared with Rs 452.2 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Profit after tax was up 35. 7% to Rs 449. 7 crore, compared with Rs 331.4 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The net impact of foreign exchange movement was a loss of Rs. 8.2 crore in Q2 2026 as against a gain of Rs. 14.4 crore in Q1 2026, Q2 2025 was a loss of Rs 6.6 crore.

We expect India's gross domestic product to grow at 6.6% in the current fiscal, compared with 7.6% last fiscal, despite multiple headwinds, including higher prices of crude oil and other commodities, softer global growth, and a below-normal monsoon forecast. In this context, S&P Global expects global GDP growth to decelerate to 3.1 % in 2026 from 3.4% in 2025, with U.S. economy expected to grow at 2.1 % in 2026 supported by resilient consumption from higher-income households and strong Al-driven private investment.

Yields on corporate bonds remain elevated, resulting in a 25.7% on-year decline in issuance by value in Q2 2026.

The number of issuers saw a 15.3% decrease on-year, while the number of issuances fell 12.9%. Bank credit remained robust at 17.7%1 as of May 2026 compared to 9.0% as of May 2025. Credit to large corporates rebounded to 14.4%, while that to non-banking finance companies remained the key driver of services sector credit growth.

Crisil Ratings maintained its leadership position backed by investor preference for best-in-class assessments and its revenue grew 21.4% on-year in 02 2026.

Crisil Global Analytics Center saw growth in delegation of surveillance support to S&P Global Ratings and expanded analytical and operational support to S&P in new areas.

Overall, the Ratings services segment revenue grew 21.4% on-year in 02 2026.

Crisil Integral IQ saw demand for Credit Lending Solutions and Fundamental Research.

Crisil Coalition Greenwich saw momentum in Corporate and Investment Banking and continued traction in Commercial Banking. The accelerated pipeline conversion in 01'26 and the PriceMetrix acquisition are reflected in the Q2 2026 and H1 2026 results.

Crisil Intelligence saw continued demand for data analytics, consulting, and credit and risk solutions.

Research Analytics and Solutions segment revenue grew 30.1 % on-year in 02 2026

We continued strengthening competitiveness by building domain-led Al products and solutions. These initiatives enhance client experience, sharpen insights, and improve efficiency.

Such strategic efforts led to significant industry recognition-9 analyst recognitions, including being named a 'Leader' in Al Governance Solutions by Chartis Research's GRC Digital Resilience Solutions 2025 report.

Franchise activity remained robust in Q2 2026. Crisil Ratings hosted the 4th edition of the Annual Infrastructure Summit 2026, themed 'Anchoring India's growth ambition' and Ratings Round~up H2FY26 media webinar.

Crisil Integral IQ hosted the Private Markets Forum 2026 in New York, and participated in TSAM London, CFO/COO North America, 14th Private Equity New York Forum and the S&P community Bankers Conference 2026.

Crisil Coalition Greenwich participated in the Linkedin Industry Summit in New York, the Bond Dealers of America event, the 18th Annual Japan ETF Conference in Tokyo, and the Fixed Income Leaders Summit 2026 in Boston.

Crisil Foundation continued to drive community impact through flagship programmes Mein Pragati and Crisil RE. Under Mein Pragati, there was a direct community outreach to additional 2.65 lakh people through the Sakhl cadre, while 1.4 Jakh linkages were facilitated. Under Crisil RE, four check dams were constructed in Udaipur and Karjat, and over 20,000 saplings were planted.

Shares of CRISIL Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 4302.10 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 4235.85. The total number of shares traded during the day was 10667 in over 1636 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 4340.00 and intraday low of 4229.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 45784109.00.
