NDTV Reports Consolidated Revenue of ₹117.23 Crore in Q1 FY27; Net Loss Stands at ₹81.88 Crore

New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) has declared its unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27).

The media company posted a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹11,723 lakh (₹117.23 crore), marking an 8.9% year-on-year increase compared to ₹10,765 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

Consolidated Financial Performance

Revenue from Operations: Stood at ₹11,723 lakh (₹117.23 crore) in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹10,765 lakh in Q1 FY26 and ₹14,796 lakh in Q4 FY26.

Other Income: Recorded at ₹273 lakh for the quarter, compared to ₹494 lakh in Q1 FY26.

Total Income: Reached ₹11,996 lakh (₹119.96 crore), up from ₹11,259 lakh reported in Q1 FY26.

Total Expenses: Climbed to ₹20,156 lakh (₹201.56 crore) from ₹18,267 lakh in the year-ago period, though showing a reduction from ₹24,765 lakh in the preceding quarter (Q4 FY26).

Net Loss Before Tax: Reported at ₹8,188 lakh (₹81.88 crore) for Q1 FY27, compared to a net loss of ₹7,002 lakh in Q1 FY26 and ₹9,786 lakh in Q4 FY26.

Net Loss After Tax: Stood at ₹8,188 lakh (₹81.88 crore) for the quarter (attributable to owners of the company at ₹8,164 lakh and non-controlling interest at ₹24 lakh).

Total Comprehensive Loss: Reported at ₹8,264 lakh for Q1 FY27, compared to a comprehensive loss of ₹7,065 lakh in Q1 FY26.

Consolidated Expense Structure

Operational expenses for the quarter were driven primarily by content production, distribution, and marketing costs:

Marketing, Distribution, and Promotional Expenses: Maintained as the single largest cost driver at ₹5,643 lakh (vs. ₹5,725 lakh in Q1 FY26).

Production Expenses and Cost of Services: Rose to ₹5,431 lakh (vs. ₹4,340 lakh in Q1 FY26).

Employee Benefits Expense: Accounted for ₹4,914 lakh (vs. ₹4,531 lakh in Q1 FY26).

Operating and Administrative Expenses: Stood at ₹2,509 lakh (vs. ₹1,931 lakh in Q1 FY26).

Depreciation and Amortisation: Stood at ₹989 lakh (vs. ₹839 lakh in Q1 FY26).

Finance Costs: Reduced to ₹670 lakh (down from ₹901 lakh in Q1 FY26).

Standalone Financial Summary

On a standalone basis, NDTV reported operational metrics for Q1 FY27:

Revenue from Operations: Stood at ₹7,158 lakh (₹71.58 crore) compared to ₹5,424 lakh in Q1 FY26 and ₹12,039 lakh in Q4 FY26.

Total Income: Reached ₹7,496 lakh (inclusive of ₹338 lakh in other income) versus ₹5,930 lakh in Q1 FY26.

Total Expenses: Stood at ₹15,143 lakh, driven by employee costs of ₹3,542 lakh and marketing expenses of ₹4,532 lakh.

Net Loss After Tax: Reported at ₹7,647 lakh (₹76.47 crore) compared to a loss of ₹7,171 lakh in Q1 FY26 and ₹8,246 lakh in Q4 FY26.

Share Capital & Earnings Per Share

Basic & Diluted Earnings Per Share (EPS): Standalone EPS for the quarter was ₹(9.42) per share, while consolidated EPS stood at ₹(7.24) per share (face value of ₹4/- each, not annualized).

Paid-Up Equity Share Capital: Remained at ₹4,513 lakh (consisting of equity shares with a face value of ₹4 each).

Shares of New Delhi Television Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 79.70 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 79.91. The total number of shares traded during the day was 3419 in over 54 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 81.09 and intraday low of 79.53. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 272777.00.
