TVS Motor Company Q1 FY27 Consolidated Net Profit Jumps 64.5% to ₹1,057.6 Crore as Revenue Crosses ₹16,200 Crore

Chennai-headquartered two- and three-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company Limited (NSE: TVSMOTOR, BSE: 532343) today reported its consolidated unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27).

Driven by strong volume growth in its core automotive business and expanding financial services performance, the company registered a 33.5% year-on-year surge in revenue from operations, with net profit expanding 64.5% year-on-year.

Consolidated Financial Highlights

Revenue from Operations: Reached ₹16,295.52 crore, up 33.5% Y-o-Y from ₹12,210.05 crore in Q1 FY26 and growing 8.3% sequentially compared to ₹15,052.73 crore in Q4 FY26.

Total Income: Stood at ₹16,453.72 crore, supported by ₹158.20 crore in other income.

Profit Before Tax (PBT): Expanded 58.1% Y-o-Y to ₹1,545.19 crore, up from ₹977.19 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹1,298.13 crore in Q4 FY26.

Net Profit After Tax (PAT): Rose 64.5% Y-o-Y to ₹1,057.61 crore, compared to ₹642.86 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹819.55 crore in Q4 FY26.

Net Profit Attributable to Owners: Stood at ₹1,019.43 crore for the quarter (up 67.1% from ₹610.04 crore in Q1 FY26).

Operating EBITDA Margin: Improved to 11.4%, compared to 10.9% in Q1 FY26 and 11.3% in Q4 FY26.

Net Profit Margin: Expanded to 6.5%, compared to 5.3% in Q1 FY26 and 5.4% in Q4 FY26.

Both primary business units registered strong top-line and bottom-line expansion during the quarter:

1. Automotive Vehicles & Parts

Segment Revenue: Rose 36.8% Y-o-Y to ₹14,398.15 crore from ₹10,526.10 crore in Q1 FY26.

Segment Profit Before Tax & Interest: Surged 57.2% Y-o-Y to ₹1,232.25 crore, compared to ₹783.82 crore in Q1 FY26.

Segment Assets: Stood at ₹22,619.66 crore as of June 30, 2026.

2. Financial Services

Segment Revenue: Reached ₹2,068.41 crore, up 20.0% Y-o-Y from ₹1,724.15 crore in Q1 FY26.

Segment Profit Before Tax & Interest: Expanded 59.9% Y-o-Y to ₹431.57 crore, up from ₹269.97 crore in Q1 FY26.

Segment Assets: Stood at ₹36,832.27 crore as of June 30, 2026.

Cost Structure & Key Ratios

Total expenses for Q1 FY27 reached ₹14,894.22 crore compared to ₹11,261.60 crore in Q1 FY26:

Cost of Materials Consumed: Stood at ₹10,270.04 crore (vs. ₹7,062.28 crore in Q1 FY26).

Employee Benefits Expense: Reported at ₹1,324.45 crore (vs. ₹1,052.46 crore in Q1 FY26).

Finance Costs: Stood at ₹602.17 crore (vs. ₹550.56 crore in Q1 FY26).

Depreciation & Amortization: Reported at ₹354.00 crore.

Interest Service Coverage Ratio (ISCR): Maintained a strong 18.09 times (excluding NBFC subsidiary).

Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR): Improved to 4.03 times (excluding NBFC subsidiary) from 3.34 times in Q1 FY26.

Inventory Turnover: Accelerated to 16.08 times (annualized), compared to 12.81 times in Q1 FY26.

Earnings Per Share & Net Worth

Basic & Diluted EPS: Rose 67.1% Y-o-Y to ₹21.46 per equity share (face value ₹1/- each), compared to ₹12.84 in Q1 FY26 and ₹16.24 in Q4 FY26.

Net Worth: Reached ₹10,201.09 crore as of June 30, 2026, crossing the ₹10,000 crore mark (up from ₹9,079.92 crore as of June 30, 2025).

Commodity prices witnessed a sharp upward trend during the quarter due to global market uncertainties resulting in increased input costs. The Company partially mitigated the cost increases through price adjustments and focused cost optimisation initiatives, including scale benefits.

SALES Q1 FY 2026-27:

During the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, the Company registered the highest ever quarterly sales. The overall two and three-wheelers grew by 28% at 1.63 Million units as against 1.28 Million units registered in the quarter ended June 2025. Motorcycles sales during the quarter under review grew by 19% recording 0.74 Million units as against 0.62 Million units in the quarter ended June 2025. Scooters sales during the quarter under review grew by 36% at 0.68 Million units as against 0.50 Million units in the quarter ended June 2025. International Business reported a growth of 33% with sales of 0.47 Million units in Q1 2026-27 as against 0.35 Million units in the first quarter of 2025-26.

Two-wheeler electric vehicles grew by 86% registering sales of 129,940 units in the first quarter of 2026-27 as against 70,060 units during first quarter of 2025-26. TVS Motor now has more than 1 Million delighted EV customers.

Three-wheelers sales for the quarter under review grew by 48% to 66,697 units in the first quarter ended June 2026 as against 44,978 units in the year ended June 2025.

Shares of TVS Motor Company Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 3591.00 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 3618.65. The total number of shares traded during the day was 17718 in over 3167 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 3602.75 and intraday low of 3550.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 63437262.00.
