Bajaj Auto Limited (BSE: 531120, NSE: BAJAJ-AUTO) has announced its financial and operational results for the first quarter of FY27 (ended June 30, 2026). Driven by strong domestic demand, record-breaking export volumes, and an accelerating shift toward electric mobility, the company achieved its highest-ever quarterly volume, revenue, and profit.

Operational & Financial Highlights (Q1 FY27 Standalone)

Revenue from Operations: Reached an all-time high of ₹17,244 crore, marking a 37% YoY increase compared to ₹12,584 crore in Q1 FY26.

EBITDA: Expanded 45% YoY to ₹3,596 crore (vs. ₹2,482 crore in Q1 FY26).

EBITDA Margin: Stood at 20.9%, expanding by 110 bps YoY and 10 bps QoQ, supported by favorable exchange rates, operating leverage, and cost optimization despite raw material cost pressures.

Profit After Tax (PAT): Rose 42% YoY to ₹2,983 crore compared to ₹2,096 crore in Q1 FY26.

Free Cash Flow: Added over ₹2,300 crore during the quarter (~80% conversion of PAT), maintaining a strong balance sheet with surplus funds exceeding ₹21,000 crore.

Consolidated Financial Performance Summary

On a consolidated basis, which includes the company's financial services and international operations:

Total Revenue from Operations: Stood at ₹21,688.83 crore for Q1 FY27 compared to ₹13,133.35 crore in Q1 FY26.

Profit Before Tax (PBT): Rose to ₹4,423.41 crore, up from ₹2,960.65 crore in Q1 FY26.

Profit After Tax (PAT): Reached ₹3,188.75 crore compared to ₹2,210.44 crore in the prior year's period.

Sales Volume Performance Breakdown

Total sales volume reached 14,38,251 units in Q1 FY27, reflecting a 29% YoY growth across all segments:

1. Domestic Market

Two-Wheelers: Grew 11% YoY to 5,86,547 units.

Commercial Vehicles: Grew 13% YoY to 1,19,531 units.

Total Domestic Volume: 7,06,078 units (+11% YoY).

2. Export Market

Two-Wheelers: Surged 52% YoY to 6,36,005 units.

Commercial Vehicles: Jumped 69% YoY to 96,168 units.

Total Export Volume: Reached a historic high of 7,32,173 units (+54% YoY), crossing the 700K mark for the first time, led by momentum in LATAM and a strong recovery in Africa.

Key Segment & Brand Trajectory

Electric Mobility: Electric vehicles now account for ~30% of domestic business revenue.

Chetak: Delivered a landmark quarter with record volumes and revenue, as demand continued to outpace production capacity.

Electric 3Ws (e3W): Maintains market leadership in the L5 category, with revenues surging ~80% YoY to reach nearly two-thirds the scale of the traditional ICE 3W franchise.

Domestic Motorcycles: Driven by strong performance in the premium sports category. The Pulsar, Avenger, and Dominar lineups posted double-digit growth, with sports segment retail sales expanding 1.5x relative to the broader industry.

Premium Brands (KTM & Triumph): Domestic revenues for KTM and Triumph jumped 60% YoY, buoyed by the new 350cc range and the launch of the Tracker 400. The combined K+T retail network now spans over 90 towns.

Shares of Bajaj Auto Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 10518.90 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 10437.45. The total number of shares traded during the day was 7607 in over 2832 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 10537.05 and intraday low of 10412.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 79693268.00.
