Strong Direct Channels and Fresh Inventory Drive Arvind Fashions to 15.5% Revenue Growth in Q1 FY27

Arvind Fashions Limited (AFL), India's top casual and denim player, has declared its consolidated financial results for the first quarter of FY27 ended June 30, 2026. Powered by strategic marketing investments and focus on direct-to-consumer routes, the lifestyle apparel major maintained strong growth momentum throughout the quarter.

Key Financial Highlights

Revenue Performance: Revenue from operations surged by ~15.5% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) to reach Rs. 1,279 crore, up from Rs. 1,107 crore recorded in Q1 FY26.

Operational Earnings: EBITDA (excluding other income) rose by ~19.6% to Rs. 160 crore compared to Rs. 133 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Margin Expansion: EBITDA margins improved by ~44 bps to 12.5%. Additionally, gross margins expanded by 90 bps to reach 56.7%, benefited by lower discounting and higher full-price sell-through rates.

Profitability: Profit Before Tax (PBT) reached Rs. 40 crore, up 3.1% from Rs. 39 crore in Q1 FY26. Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs. 10 crore compared to Rs. 13 crore in Q1 FY26, experiencing a marginal dip primarily due to lower other income relative to the previous year's quarter.

Channel Dominance & Inventory Efficiency

A primary driver behind AFL's performance was its focus on direct distribution channels, which contributed 62% to the total corporate revenue in Q1 FY27.

Direct Channels Strength: Direct routes recorded a robust Like-for-Like (L2L) growth of 11.6%, alongside a significant ~38% surge in online B2C sales.

Working Capital & Inventory: Inventory freshness touched an all-time high during the quarter, while Net Working Capital (NWC) days remained tightly managed and stable at 65 days.

Commenting on the performance of the company, Ms. Amisha Jain, MD & CEO said "We have begun the year with a strong operating performance, delivering revenue growth of 15.5% and EBITDA growth of 19.6%. This performance is particularly noteworthy given the inflationary environment shaped by the West Asia conflict, higher petroleum prices, elevated forex rates and minimum wage increases across several states, and reflects the resilience of our brand portfolio and the discipline of our operating model. Our working capital remained healthy at 65 days, supported by improved inventory freshness over last year. As we look ahead, our focus remains on accelerating profitable growth across our marquee brands, deepening consumer engagement through increased brand investments, and increasing the share of our direct channels.".

Looking ahead, our focus remains on accelerating growth across retail and B2C channels while keeping an eye on the impact of war. We have prepared ourselves with mitigation measures to protect our performance.
