Sunrise Industrial Traders Limited has officially announced its unaudited standalone financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). Driven by higher dividend income and an exceptional item gain, the company posted an 86.5% year-on-year (YoY) increase in standalone net profit to ₹73.57 lakh compared to ₹39.44 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q1 FY26). On a sequential basis, net profit surged sharply from ₹16.14 lakh recorded in Q4 FY26.
Revenue Growth and Income Breakdown
Total revenue from operations for Q1 FY27 registered a 20.4% YoY growth to reach ₹136.65 lakh, up from ₹113.53 lakh in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, operational revenue grew by 63.3% compared to ₹83.69 lakh in the preceding quarter ended March 31, 2026.
Interest Income: Stood at ₹53.04 lakh for the quarter, compared to ₹52.71 lakh in Q1 FY26 and ₹56.58 lakh in Q4 FY26.
Dividend Income: Recorded a significant jump to ₹67.47 lakh, up 103.5% YoY from ₹33.16 lakh in Q1 FY26 and ₹41.27 lakh in Q4 FY26.
Other Income: Advanced to ₹9.75 lakh, compared to ₹4.44 lakh in Q1 FY26 and ₹4.92 lakh in Q4 FY26.
Net Gain on Fair Value Changes: Came in at ₹6.39 lakh during Q1 FY27, compared to ₹23.22 lakh in Q1 FY26 and a loss on fair value changes of ₹19.08 lakh in Q4 FY26.
Expenses and Profitability
Total expenses for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, were well-controlled at ₹55.85 lakh, representing an 12.1% YoY increase from ₹49.84 lakh in Q1 FY26, but reflecting a sequential decline of 3.2% from ₹57.72 lakh in Q4 FY26.
Employee Benefits Expenses: Lowered to ₹37.05 lakh from ₹41.16 lakh in Q1 FY26 and ₹42.55 lakh in Q4 FY26.
Depreciation, Amortization, and Impairment: Stood at ₹13.02 lakh compared to ₹1.22 lakh in Q1 FY26 and ₹10.09 lakh in Q4 FY26.
Other Expenses: Declined to ₹5.78 lakh compared to ₹7.32 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous year and ₹5.08 lakh in Q4 FY26.
Profit before exceptional items and tax stood at ₹80.80 lakh, up 26.9% YoY from ₹63.69 lakh in Q1 FY26. After accounting for an exceptional item gain of ₹19.92 lakh, profit before tax (PBT) reached ₹100.72 lakh (compared to ₹63.69 lakh in Q1 FY26).
Total tax expenses for Q1 FY27 came in at ₹27.15 lakh (comprising ₹27.11 lakh in current tax and ₹0.04 lakh relating to earlier years), leading to a final net profit of ₹73.57 lakh.
Other Comprehensive Income and Per Share Metrics
Driven by substantial upward fair valuation adjustments across its equity and debt portfolio during the quarter, the company recorded a dramatic rebound in Other Comprehensive Income (OCI):
Changes in Fair Valuation of Equity Instruments: Stood at a positive ₹2,169.35 lakh compared to ₹1,393.88 lakh in Q1 FY26 and a negative adjustment of ₹2,228.23 lakh in Q4 FY26.
Changes in Fair Value of Bonds / Debentures: Contributed a positive ₹27.34 lakh compared to ₹21.53 lakh in Q1 FY26.
Total Other Comprehensive Income: Reached ₹2,196.69 lakh for the quarter (vs ₹1,415.41 lakh in Q1 FY26).
Total Comprehensive Income: Surged to ₹2,270.26 lakh for Q1 FY27, compared to ₹1,454.85 lakh in Q1 FY26 and a comprehensive loss of ₹2,264.63 lakh in Q4 FY26.
