Private sector lender Karur Vysya Bank has announced regarding a revision in its Marginal Cost of Funds Based Lending Rates (MCLR) across select tenors. The updated lending rates will come into effect starting July 22, 2026.
Key Highlights of the Rate Revision
Under the updated benchmark framework, Karur Vysya Bank has adjusted rates for short-term and long-term tenors while keeping medium-term rates stable:
Overnight MCLR: Revised upward to 8.85% from the existing rate of 8.75% (a 10 basis point increase).
One-Month MCLR: Increased to 8.75% from the previous 8.65% (a 10 basis point increase).
Three-Month MCLR: Maintained unchanged at 8.95%.
Six-Month MCLR: Adjusted to 9.15% from the existing 9.10% (a 5 basis point increase).
One-Year MCLR: Upwardly revised to 9.35% from 9.25% (a 10 basis point increase).
The upward adjustments in key benchmark tenors mean that floating-rate credit facilities and consumer/corporate loans tied directly to the bank's MCLR structure will experience corresponding rate resets based on their respective reset schedules starting July 22.
