Shri Amresh Prasad appointed as Executive Director of Union Bank of India

The Central Government vide notification no. eF.No. 4/4(iii)/2024-BO.I dated November 24, 2025 has appointed Shri Amresh Prasad, Chief General Manager, Punjab National Bank as the Executive Director of the Bank for a period of three years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the office or till the date of his attaining the age of superannuation i.e., 31.10.2028 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Prior to assuming the office as the Executive Director of Union Bank of India, Shri Amresh Prasad was the Chief General Manager of Punjab National Bank posted at Corporate office.

He has rich banking experience of over 32 years from branch banking, Zonal Offices to Head Office level, which includes Corporate Credit, Credit Review and Monitoring, Transaction Monitoring etc.

He is a graduate in Chemistry and Certified Associate from Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).

Shri Prasad has attended various training and Leadership Development Programs and has taken part in Leadership Development Program at SBIL Kolkata. He has also completed Aarohan 2023 FSIB Program conducted by Financial Services Institution.

Shares of Union Bank of India was last trading in BSE at Rs. 150.90 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 150.90. The total number of shares traded during the day was 391288 in over 3150 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 152.60 and intraday low of 150.45. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 59352825.00.
