In another interesting development, the senior management personnel of TSS and PSS were invited by the Cricket Kenya Board to meet with the International Cricket Committee (ICC) team in Nairobi, Kenya on the August 29th 2023.
The meeting took place in the presence of several important dignitaries; Kenyan cricket legends, Kenyan county members, key members of the Kenyan female cricket team, Deputy Commissioner of Sports at Ministry of Sports Kenya and Cricket Kenya board members, led by Chairman Mr. Manoj N Patel and pivotal sponsors. The International Cricket Council (ICC), spearheaded by General Manager of Global Development, William Glenwright, also attended the meeting with his team. Representing TSL-PSS in Kenya was its COO, Mr. Ali Saeed Rizvi.
The aim of this meeting was to collaborate on revitalizing cricket in Kenya and restoring its former glory.
Commenting on the development, Ali Saeed Rizvi (COO - TSS) remarked "The fact that we were invited for the meet with ICC officials is in itself a testimony of our abilities in cricket (and athletes) development and promotion. Armed with our experience of successfully hosting several leagues across the globe, we remain confident of our mission to rejuvenate cricket in Kenya and propel it to new pinnacles of success via collaborative efforts. We (TSL-PSS combine) reaffirmed our commitment to offering, both, financial and technical assistance thereby nurturing local talent, developing essential infrastructure and organizing T10 and T20 cricket matches in Kenya. These initiatives are geared toward boosting the confidence of young Kenyan cricketers and honing their inherent skills. Our vision deeply resonates with, both, the ICC team and Cricket Kenya Board".
Glenwright (GM Global Development - ICC) commented "Kenya is one of the key member in the world of cricket, owing to its rich heritage of the game by virtue of having reached the World Cup semi-finals in 2003, and having once held the One Day international status."
Mr. Manoj N. Patel (Chairman of Cricket Kenya) stated "Our commitment is to swiftly restore our former glory and this is our top priority. Partners like TSL-PSS are invaluable assets in this redevelopment program."
