Ashok Leyland Limited reports 1% YoY drop in May 2023 sales volume

Ashok Leyland Limited has reported sales figures for the month of May 2023. The company has reported 1% YoY drop in sales during May 2023 at 13134 units as against 13273 units in May 2022. Domestic sales dropped by 1% in May 2023 at 12378 units as compared to 12458 units in May 2022.

LCV sales was down 9% YoY at 4864 units in May 2023 as against 5328 units in May 2022. Domestic LCV sales dropped 8% YoY to 4788 units during May 2023, as compared to 5190 units in May 2022.

M&HCV sales increased 4% YoY to 8270 units in May 2023, as against 7945 units in May 2022. M&HCV bus sales was up 47% YoY to 1610 units in May 2023 as compared to 1098 units in May 2022. M&HCV Trucks sales was down 3% YoY at 6660 units during May 2023, as against 6847 units in May 2022.

Domestic M&HCV sales during May 2023 was up 4% YoY at 7590 units, as compared to 7268 units in May 2022. Domestic sales of M&HCV trucks was down 1% to 6573 units in May 2023 as against 6639 units in May 2022. The domestic sales of M&HCV Bus increased 62% to 1017 units in May 2023, as compared to 629 units in May 2022.

The company has reported sales of 26108 units during the period April 2023 to May 2023 as against 25120 units during the period April 2022 to May 2022, registering YoY growth of 4%.

Shares of Ashok Leyland Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 147.10 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 146.35. The total number of shares traded during the day was 428953 in over 6346 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 148.00 and intraday low of 145.70. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 63100251.00.
