Lemon Tree Hotels launches its first property in Nepal with Lemon Tree Premier, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu

Lemon Tree Hotels Limited announces its foray into the stunning country of Nepal with the opening of Lemon Tree Premier, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu. This marks not just the entry of Lemon Tree Hotels in to Nepal, but alos marks the milestone of Lemon Tree's inventory crossing 10,000 rooms.

Speaking on the momentous occasion, Mr. Patanjali Keswani, Chairman and Managing Director, Lemon Tree Hotels, said, "We are very pleased to start FY25 on a high note, with both the launch of our first hotel in Nepal - Lemon Tree Premier, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, and also crossing the 10,000 room mark. This is the first among several properties that would be coming up in Nepal, as we expand our footprint across the country, with a number of hotels and resorts set to open this fiscal and in the coming years. We are also going to expand our footprint in Bhutan further this fiscal, with the opening of a resort in Thimphu."

This first property in the land of Mount Everest is a stylish, contemporary hotel with 102 well-appointed rooms and suites, Citrus Café - a multicuisine coffee shop, Republic of Noodles - an award-winning Asian restaurant, Slounge - a hip recreation bar and a tea lounge. The hotel has a separate convention center which has expansive banquet spaces and conference facilities, besides extensive outdoor event spaces. For recreation, the hotel offers a well-equipped fitness center, Fresco spa and a refreshing infinity pool.

Budhanilkantha, in Kathmandu district, takes its name from the Sanskrit word that means 'Old Blue Throat', a title of Lord Shiva that was given by gods after the Lord drank poison to save the world. It has the famous Budhanilkantha Temple, which is synonymous with the 1,400-year-old black basalt carving of Vishnu, draped in marigolds and reclining on a bed of serpents in a small pond. This temple is sacred for Hindus but is equally venerated by Buddhists. Budhanilkantha is a sprawling suburb that stretches into Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, home to leopards, monkeys, and bears, plus many species of local and migratory birds.

Shares of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 140.55 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 137.75. The total number of shares traded during the day was 241250 in over 3065 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 141.60 and intraday low of 139.20. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 33775284.00.
