Maruti Suzuki India Ltd announces recall of 9,125 vehicles of Ciaz, Brezza, Ertiga, XL6 and Grand Vitara

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has announced to recall a total of 9,125 vehicles manufactured between 2nd and 28th November, 2022. The affected models are Ciaz, Brezza, Ertiga, XL6 and Grand Vitara.

It is suspected that there is a possible defect in one of the child parts of shoulder height adjuster assembly of front row seat belts, which in a rare case, may lead to seat belt disassembly. Considering the safety of our customers and out of abundant caution, the Company has decided to recall the suspected vehicles for inspection and replacement of the faulty part, free of cost.

Affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from Company's authorized workshops for immediate attention.

Shares of Maruti Suzuki India Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 8793.80 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 8815.10. The total number of shares traded during the day was 8841 in over 1831 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 8878.95 and intraday low of 8765.65. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 77753123.00.
