Jagran Prakashan ESOP Trust buys 1500269 shares

Jagran Prakashan Employee Welfare Trust has further purchased 15,00,269 shares of Jagran Prakashan Limited on March 07, 2011 from the open market to administer Jagran Prakashan Limited Employee Stock Option Plan for the benefit of the employees of the Company, as approved by the shareholders through postal ballot dated December 23, 2010 by the way of Special Resolution passed under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956.

The stock closed the day at Rs.119.90, up by Rs.4.05 or 3.50%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.119.90 and low of Rs.114.10.

The total traded quantity was 15.71 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 2.35 lakhs.
