Nutraceuticals and plant-protein specialist Nutricircle Limited (BSE: 530219) has announced the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Industries, Government of Tripura.

The project focuses on processing plant proteins, functional food ingredients, and bio-based products by deploying circular bioeconomy practices-recycled agricultural byproducts turned into commercial essentials.

Capital Outlay and Project Scope

The agreement maps out a major agro-industrial integration layout aimed at driving sustainable industrial development in the region:

Proposed Investment Size: Nutricircle plans a capital expenditure layout ranging between ₹100 Crore and ₹130 Crore.

Strategic Core: Developing processing facilities for extraction and manufacturing of plant-derived proteins and value-added functional ingredients.

Socio-Economic Objectives: The partnership aims to process local agricultural yield to provide local value addition, enhance regional farmer income pools, and generate fresh industrial employment.

Significant Terms and Mutual Commitments

The operational framework of the MoU follows structured implementation guidelines laid down by both parties:

Validity Baseline: The agreement serves as an initial expression of interest valid for 12 months, with a provision for mutual extension.

Nutricircle's Obligations: The company is responsible for securing all statutory clearances, environmental permissions, and operating licenses. It must initiate active project ground operations within one year of receiving regulatory clearances.

Government Facilitation: The Department of Industries, Government of Tripura, will act as an administrative facilitator, helping accelerate clearances, site registrations, and approvals under existing state industrial policies.
