Taylormade Renewables Ltd has conducted trials of two different hazardous effluents from SABIC, S.A (1) Salty Waste water and (2) Caustic Stream at company's pilot trial facilities.
Saudi Basic Industries Corporation known as SABIC, is a Saudi Chemical Manufacturing company majorly owned by Saudi Aramco and a global leader in the field of Petrochemicals, Industrial Polymers and fertilizers.
The trials showed excellent results and were able to meet the threshold benchmark of almost all constituents in the final condensate leading to very high percentage of water recovery.
SABIC, S.A. was seeking an appropriate technology to treat the Salty Waste water and Caustic Stream coming from their Phenol Plant to achieve higher recovery rates, economically cost effective and to achieve all the regulatory norms for the treated water quality.
Incumbent technologies were not a perfect solution for the end user in this case due to following reasons.
1) Some are heavily energy intensive.
2) Some require Multi level treatment to achieve regulatory norms.
3) In Some cases the final concentration/ water recovery is low.
4) Some technologies need to be used in combination making it a complicated and an expensive process.
With TRL RAIN patented technology the trial results showed excellent treatability of almost all constituents in final condensate from the second condenser. The condensate treated water was found to be clear and transparent which is 100% recyclable for process application.
The results showed the capability of the patented TRL RAIN technology to treat any hazardous waste water stream complying with internationally accepted treated water norms. This trial will offer your company various opportunities for applying TRL RAIN technology globally for petroleum and a host of allied industries.
