Torrent Power Ltd receives LoA from SECI for 300MW project

Pursuant to competitive bidding process, Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has granted a Letter of Award to Torrent Power Limited for Wind Power Project of 300 MW and confirming long-term Power Purchase Arrangement for the power generated from the proposed project.

The estimated project cost is Rs. 2,600 crore and estimated date of commissioning is 24 months from the execution of PPA.

The company has operational capacity of 804.5 MW Wind Power and 263 MW Solar Power. The company has 415 MW Wind Power (including the aforementioned capacity) and 400 MW Solar Power under development.

Shares of Torrent Power Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 481.60 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 475.95. The total number of shares traded during the day was 27176 in over 1125 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 489.65 and intraday low of 462.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 13155821.00.
