Other Income: Stood at ₹31.15 crore for the quarter, up from ₹14.53 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹22.26 crore in Q4 FY26.
Total Income: Jumped 119.76% YoY to ₹1,946.13 crore in Q1 FY27 compared to ₹885.55 crore in Q1 FY26, and expanded 5.40% QoQ from ₹1,846.38 crore in Q4 FY26.

Profit Before Tax (PBT): The company reported a consolidated PBT of ₹331.52 crore in Q1 FY27, turning around from a loss before tax of ₹44.70 crore in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, PBT expanded 45.45% QoQ from ₹227.93 crore in Q4 FY26.
Net Profit (PAT): Consolidated net profit after tax reached ₹245.64 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to a net loss of ₹29.30 crore in Q1 FY26. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, PAT rose 33.17% QoQ from ₹184.45 crore in Q4 FY26.
Comprehensive Income: Total comprehensive income for the period stood at ₹317.80 crore, up significantly from ₹9.62 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹145.22 crore in Q4 FY26.
Earnings Per Share (EPS): Basic and diluted EPS improved to ₹1.49 per share for Q1 FY27, up from a negative EPS of ₹0.22 in Q1 FY26 and ₹1.21 in Q4 FY26.

Segment Results (PBIT): Expanded to ₹483.92 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹55.76 crore in Q1 FY26 and ₹383.00 crore in Q4 FY26.
2. Turnkey Contracts and Services
Segment Revenue: Stood at ₹280.32 crore in Q1 FY27, down 4.36% YoY compared to ₹293.11 crore in Q1 FY26 and down 1.65% QoQ from ₹285.01 crore in Q4 FY26.
Segment Results (PBIT): Recorded a loss of ₹87.53 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to a loss of ₹53.64 crore in Q1 FY26 and a loss of ₹84.10 crore in Q4 FY26.
3. Defence Product & Services
Segment Revenue: Generated ₹23.74 crore in Q1 FY27, matching the ₹23.74 crore reported in Q1 FY26 and growing 91.14% QoQ from ₹12.42 crore in Q4 FY26.
Segment Results (PBIT): Showed a loss of ₹8.04 crore in Q1 FY27 (vs. a loss of ₹0.30 crore in Q1 FY26 and a loss of ₹5.90 crore in Q4 FY26).

Key Business Highlights
Optical Connectivity
HFCL continues to strengthen its position in the rapidly expanding Optical Fiber Cable and connectivity market, supported by accelerating investments in AI-driven data centres, cloud infrastructure, next-generation telecom networks and digital infrastructure globally. The Company's capacity expansion programme remains on track, with Optical Fiber capacity increasing from 28 million fiber kilometres to 34 million fiber kilometres and Optical Fiber Cable capacity expanding from 34 million fiber kilometres to 43 million fiber kilometres, enhancing its ability to meet growing global demand.
HFCL is also advancing its backward integration into preform manufacturing, further strengthening supply chain resilience and long-term competitiveness.
Defence & Aerospace
HFCL continues to scale its Defence & Aerospace business through indigenous technology development, expanding manufacturing capabilities and proposed acquisition. During the quarter, the Company initiated the process of setting up of its Ammunition Manufacturing Complex in Andhra Pradesh for manufacturing of Multimode Hand Grenade, Electronic Fuzes, other ammunition products and simultaneously strengthening its portfolio across surveillance Radars, Thermal Imaging Sites and Tactical Communication Solutions. The Company views the Defence business as a strategic long-term growth engine, underpinned by sustainable demand, strong policy support, and significant opportunities for value creation over the coming years.
