Tata Tea equity shareholders to approve Scheme of Arrangement

Tata Tea Ltd has announced that pursuant to the Order made by the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta, separate meetings of the Equity Shareholders of the Company and Amalgamated Plantations Pvt Ltd (APPL) will be held on April 05, 2007, for the purpose of considering and if thought fit, approving, with or without modification, the scheme of Arrangement proposed to be made between the Company and APPL and their respective shareholders.
