Cosmo Ferrites Limited (BSE: 523100), a leading manufacturer and exporter of Soft Ferrites and wire-wound magnetic components, today announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27).
Financial Performance Highlights
Revenue from Operations: Stood at ₹2,898 lakhs for Q1 FY27, registering a 7.7% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to ₹2,692 lakhs in Q1 FY26. On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, revenue grew 6.6% from ₹2,719 lakhs reported in Q4 FY26. Total revenue for the full fiscal year ended March 31, 2026 (FY26) stood at ₹9,859 lakhs.
EBITDA: Advanced 24.7% YoY to ₹374 lakhs in Q1 FY27, up from ₹300 lakhs in Q1 FY26. Sequentially, EBITDA grew 23.4% compared to ₹303 lakhs in Q4 FY26.
Profit Before Tax (PBT): Climbed significantly to ₹132 lakhs in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹8 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹38 lakhs in Q4 FY26. This marks a sharp turnaround from the full-year loss before tax of ₹203 lakhs recorded in FY26.
Profit After Tax (PAT): Net profit rose to ₹99 lakhs for the quarter, reflecting a substantial improvement over ₹5 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and ₹26 lakhs in Q4 FY26. For the full year FY26, the company had reported a net loss of ₹158 lakhs.
Quarterly Overview
The company delivered an improved performance in Q1 FY27, characterized by growth in revenue, operating EBITDA, and PAT, driven by higher sales volumes, improved average realizations, and market expansion. The company achieved an improved EBITDA margin despite higher raw material prices and logistics costs during the quarter, arising from the prevailing geopolitical situation.
Market & Capacity Expansion: Growth was supported by higher realizations in the domestic market and increased export volumes, reflecting robust overall growth. The company continues to focus on the EV and solar sectors within its magnetics business and added a new customer during the quarter.
New powder development: Cosmo successfully developed and commercialized several powders for advanced applications, specifically for EV, automotive, telecommunications and solar segments. The key features of the powders are lower power loss and higher saturation flux density, higher permeability with improved frequency response, which are suitable for enhanced system performance.
