Triveni Turbine Limited Reports Q1 FY27 Results: Revenue Up 19.2% to ₹4.43 Billion Amid Margin Pressures

Triveni Turbine Limited (TTL), a leading global industrial heat and power solutions provider, has announced its consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). The company reported strong topline growth driven by sustained international demand and execution, alongside robust expansion in its order backlog.

Topline Growth Driven by Robust Operations

For Q1 FY27, Triveni Turbine reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹4.43 billion, reflecting a 19.2% year-on-year increase compared to ₹3.71 billion in Q1 FY26. Total income stood at ₹4.71 billion, up from ₹3.94 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Geographically, domestic revenue rose 27.4% year-on-year to ₹2.40 billion, accounting for 54.2% of total sales. Export sales contributed ₹2.03 billion, marking a 10.8% increase year-on-year and constituting 45.8% of the revenue mix. Product revenue grew 19.1% to ₹3.04 billion, while aftermarket revenue rose 19.5% to ₹1.39 billion.

Profitability and Margin Performance

Consolidated EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹797 million, registering a 16.8% decline from ₹958 million in Q1 FY26. Consequently, the EBITDA margin contracted to 18.0% compared to 25.8% in the previous year's corresponding quarter.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) reached ₹697 million, down 20.1% year-on-year from ₹873 million, yielding a PBT margin of 15.7%. Consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹511 million, declining 20.6% from ₹644 million in Q1 FY26. Consolidated PAT margin contracted to 11.5% compared to 17.3% last year. Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at ₹1.60.

Management attributed the margin pressure primarily to an unfavorable business mix, price escalations, the delivery phasing of strategic orders, and the execution of project components involving bought-out scopes.

Strong Inflows Driven by Export and Aftermarket Demand

Order intake during Q1 FY27 reached ₹5.68 billion, up 6.1% year-on-year from ₹5.36 billion. Order booking was heavily anchored by international markets and the aftermarket segment:

Export Order Booking: SURGED 53.4% year-on-year to ₹3.84 billion, representing 67.6% of the quarter's total order inflows compared to 46.8% in Q1 FY26.

Aftermarket Order Booking: Rose 53.4% year-on-year to ₹2.24 billion, contributing 39.3% to total order booking.

Domestic and Product Order Booking: Experienced temporary softness, declining 35.4% (to ₹1.84 billion) and 11.6% (to ₹3.45 billion) year-on-year, respectively.

As of June 30, 2026, Triveni Turbine's closing order book reached ₹21.80 billion, representing a 5.1% year-on-year growth. Export orders constituted 56.7% of the total order book, while the aftermarket closing order book surged 115.1% year-on-year to ₹6.24 billion, accounting for 28.6% of the backlog.

Management Commentary and Operational Enhancements

Commenting on the quarterly results, Dhruv M. Sawhney, Chairman & Managing Director of Triveni Turbine Limited, noted that performance aligned with expectations given execution schedules tied to order intakes from a year prior. He emphasized that global secular trends around decarbonization, energy efficiency, renewable thermal power, and decentralized generation continue to generate strong demand across markets in Southeast Asia, Africa, and North America.

To enhance operational capabilities and optimize supply chains, TTL implemented AI-driven predictive maintenance, localized services, advanced laser hardening processes, and digitalized hydro testing for turbine casings.

Future Outlook

Management expressed confidence in business trajectory and margin recovery for the second half of FY27 (H2 FY27). Strong order backlogs across biomass, waste-to-energy, geothermal, oil & gas, utility, and process co-generation sectors support revenue visibility. While potential macroeconomic fluctuations and West Asian geopolitical developments may introduce near-term timing variations, the company expects its diversified global presence and expanding technological scope-including Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) turbines and CO₂-based heat pumps-to mitigate operational risks and maintain growth momentum through the remainder of the fiscal year.

Shares of Triveni Turbine Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 634.20 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 636.45. The total number of shares traded during the day was 23648 in over 1040 trades.
