Carborundum Universal allots 17308 Shares under ESOP Scheme

On May 18, 2011, Carborundum Universal Ltd allotted 17,308 shares of Rs. 2/- each arising out of the exercise of stock options, granted to three employees under the Employees Stock Option Scheme 2007. The exercise price in respect of these options was Rs. 183.60/- per share.

With this allotment the number of equity shares outstanding is 93,528,515 and the paid-up-capital equity share capital is Rs. 187,057,030/-

The stock closed the day at Rs.260.05, up by Rs.3 or 1.17%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.260.95 and low of Rs.254.

The total traded quantity was 5673 compared to 2 week average of 14088.
