Patni Computer Systems allots 122207 equity shares under Company's Stock Option Plan

The Compensation & Remuneration Committee of Directors of Patni Computer Systems Ltd vide resolution dated April 18, 2011 has allotted 122,207 equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to certain employees including 57,462 underlying equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to Bank of New York Mellon as a Depository in connection with the issuance of 28,731 American Depositary Shares (ADSs) to foreign based option holders pursuant to the exercise of ADR Linked options granted to them under the Company's Stock Option Plan.

The stock closed the day at Rs.474.95, up by Rs.0.45 or 0.09%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.477 and low of Rs.472.55.

The total traded quantity was 1.38 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 0.49 lakhs.
