Patni Computer Systems allots 77716 equity shares under Company's Stock Option Plan

The Compensation & Remuneration Committee of Directors of Patni Computer Systems Ltd vide resolution dated April 11, 2011 has allotted 77,716 equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to certain employees / directors including 29,306 underlying equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to Bank of New York Mellon as a Depository in connection with the issuance of 14,653 American Depositary Shares (ADSs) to foreign based option holders pursuant to the exercise of ADR Linked options granted to them under the Company's Stock Option Plan.

The stock was trading at Rs.477.50, up by Rs.1.15 or 0.24%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.479.70 and low of Rs.474.25.

The total traded quantity was 0.11 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 0.54 lakhs.
