Idea Cellular allots 248687 Equity Shares

Idea Cellular Ltd has announced that the ESOS Compensation Committee has vide its circular resolution dated December 24, 2010, has allotted 2,48,687 Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each to the Option Grantees, pursuant to the exercise of Stock Options granted under the Company's Employee Stock Option Scheme, 2006 (ESOS-2006).

Further the Company has informed that, the Equity Share Capital of the Company, post the said allotment, stands increased to 330,15,60,441 equity shares of Rs. 10/- each aggregating to Rs. 3301,56,04,410/-.

The stock closed the day at Rs.67.65, down by Rs.2.55 or 3.63%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.70.80 and low of Rs.67.50.

The total traded quantity was 3.82 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 5.39 lakhs.
