Wipro allots 269589 Equity Shares

Wipro Ltd has announced that Administrative Committee of the Company's Board of Directors vide Circular resolution dated September 03, 2010 resolved to issue and allot 234328 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each pursuant to exercise of the stock options by the eligible employees under Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2004 and Restricted Stock Unit Plan 2005.

The Board also allotted 35261 equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- to JP Morgan Chase Bank, the Company's depository as underlying shares in respect of ADRs to be issued and allocated to the purchasers, pursuant to the exercise of the stock options granted to the employees under the Company's ADS Restricted Stock Unit Plan- 2004.

The stock closed the day at Rs.404.65, up by Rs.3.30 or 0.82%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.407.70 and low of Rs.401.50.

The total traded quantity was 1.37 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 1.24 lakhs.
