Suraj Diamonds to consider preferential issue on Aug 26, 2010

Su-Raj Diamonds and Jewellery Ltd has announced that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on August 26, 2010, inter alia, to consider the issue of Equity Shares to Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) and Equity Warrants to Promoters on Preferential Basis in accordance with Chapter VII (Preferential Issue) of Securities and Exchange Board of India (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2009.

The stock closed the day at Rs.67, up by Rs.5.05 or 8.15%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.70.70 and low of Rs.60.75.

The total traded quantity was 7.87 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 2.04 lakhs.
