Marico allots 21800 shares

Marico Ltd has announced that the Corporate Governance Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company met on January 13, 2010 and allotted 21,800 equity shares of the Company of the face value of Re. 1 each under the existing Marico Employees Stock Options Scheme 2007.

Consequent to the above allotment, the paid-up share capital of the Company has increased from 60,92,59,200 equity shares of Re 1/- each aggregating Rs. 60,97,59,200/- to 60,92,81,000 equity shares of Re 1/- each aggregating Rs. 60,92,81,000/-.

The Stock was trading at Rs.103.80, up by Rs.0.70 or 0.68%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.104.25 and low of Rs.102.50.

The total traded quantity was 6682 compared to 2 week average of 355802.
