Petroleum Trust sells shares of Reliance Industries worth Rs 2675 crore

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has announced that Petroleum Trust sold approximately 258.50 lakh equity shares of the Company on January 04, 2010.

Reliance Industrial Investments and Holdings Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of RIL, is the beneficiary of the Trust.

The sale of the said shares was executed in the stock exchanges on January 04, 2010.

The Trust will realize approximately Rs. 2675 crore, at an average price of about Rs. 1035 per share. The financial impact will be reflected in the consolidated financial statements of the Company.

The stock was trading at Rs.1074.40, down by Rs.15 or 1.38%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.1094 and low of Rs.1022.

The total traded quantity was 13882031 compared to 2 week average of 936262.
