Patni Computer Systems allots 226525 Equity Shares

Patni Computer Systems Ltd has announced that the Compensation & Remuneration Committee of Directors of the Company vide resolution dated November 13, 2009 has allotted 14,025 equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to certain employees including a Director, pursuant to the exercise of options granted to them under Company's Stock Option Plan and 212,500 underlying equity shares of par value of Rs. 2/- each to Bank of New York as a Depository in connection with the issuance of 106,250 American Depositary Shares (ADSs) to foreign based option-holders pursuant to the exercise of ADR Linked options granted to them under Company's Stock Option Plan.

The stock was trading at Rs.490.40, down by Rs.15.50 or 3.06%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.515 and low of Rs.487.05.

The total traded quantity was 216922 compared to 2 week average of 214463.
