Fortis Healthcare allots 90646936 Equity Shares pursuant to the Rights Issue

Fortis Healthcare Ltd has announced that pursuant to the Letter of Offer dated September 22, 2009, in respect of the rights issue of the Company and in accordance with the basis of allotment approved by the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd (Designated Stock Exchange) on October 27, 2009, the Issue Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company has, at its meeting held on October 27, 2009, allotted 9,06,46,936 Equity Shares of Rs. 10/ each to the shareholders of the Company as on record date and / or to their renounces, at a premium of Rs. 100/- per equity share, for an amount aggregating to Rs 9971.16 A6 million, on a rights basis.

Further, the said Committee has also issued and allotted one Detachable Warrant for every one Equity Share allotted as above to the eligible shareholders and / or to their renounces and accordingly, 9,06,46,936 detachable warrants have been issued and allotted to the eligible shareholders and/or to their renounces.

Further the Company has informed that post Rights Issue, the shareholding of Promoters and Promoter Group in the Company stands at 76.48%.

The stock closed the day at Rs.101.65, down by Rs.2.65 or 2.54%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.107.70 and low of Rs.101.10.

The total traded quantity was 145594 compared to 2 week average of 172345.
