Sam Leaseco to issue preference shares

Sam Leaseco Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on October 22, 2009, inter alia, has accorded their in-principle to the issue of 80,000 preference shares of Rs. 100/ each fully paid-up aggregating Rs. 80.00 lacs for cash at par.

The preference shares are proposed to be issued to persons other than members and hence approval of the shareholders is being sought pursuant to Sections 80 and 81(1A) of the Companies Act, 1956 at an Extra-ordinary General Meeting being convened for the purpose.

The Board has also proposed to convene the Extra-ordinary General Meeting on October 30, 2009.
