Sundaram Clayton allots 18967584 Equity Shares

Sundaram Clayton Ltd has announced that pursuant to the approval of the shareholders of the Company at the 47th annual general meeting held on September 29, 2009, the Committee of Directors of the Company, on October 14, 2009 allotted and issued 1,89,67,584 new equity shares of Rs. 5/- each in the ratio of 1:1, thereby capitalizing a sum of Rs. 9,48,37,920/- from the General Reserve account of the Company.

Consequently, the paid up share capital of the Company has increased from Rs. 9,48,37,920 consisting of 1,89,67,584 equity shares of Rs. 5/- each to Rs. 18,96,75,840 consisting of 3,79,35,168 equity shares of Rs. 5/- each.

The stock closed the day at Rs.116.60, up by Rs.4.60 or 4.11%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.117.60 and low of Rs.114.05.

The total traded quantity was 16345 compared to 2 week average of 16957.
