Marico allots 47500 shares

Marico Ltd has announced that the Corporate Governance Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company met on September 15, 2009 and allotted 47,500 equity shares of the Company of the face value of Re 1 each under the existing Marico Employees Stock Options Scheme 2007.

Consequent to the above allotment, the paid-up share capital of the Company has increased from 60,91,16,300 equity shares of Re 1/- each aggregating Rs 60,91,16,300 to 60,91,63,800 equity shares of Re 1/- each aggregating Rs 60,93,63,800.

The stock was trading at Rs.87, up by Rs.0.20 or 0.23%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.87 and low of Rs.86.20.

The total traded quantity was 17629 compared to 2 week average of 343493.
