Assam Company to complete FCCB Buy Back by September 2009

Assam Company Ltd has announced that the Company is taking steps to Buy Back any or all of the Zero Per Cent Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds, due 2011 and it is expected to consummate the Buy Back on or about early first week of September, 2009.

The stock was trading at Rs.21.40, down by Rs.0.15 or 0.70%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.22.25 and low of Rs.20.75.

The total traded quantity was 864787 compared to 2 week average of 2321341.
