Panyam Cements revises EGM date for preferential issue

With reference to the earlier announcement dated December 11, 2006, regarding the Board decision to convene an Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) on January 17, 2007 to consider the proposal for allotment of 2090909 Equity Shares of Rs 10/- each @ Rs 55/- (including premium of Rs 45/-) to M/s S P Y Reddy & Associates, Nandyal, Panyam Cements & Mineral Industries Ltd has announced that due to a typographical error the date of the EGM was earlier mentioned as "January 17, 2007", however the Board had actually decided to convene the EGM on "January 10, 2007".

Hence the date of the EGM should be read as "January 10, 2007".
