Empee Distilleries Chairman transfers shares to his children

Empee Distilleries Ltd has announced that Mr. M P Purushothaman, Chairman and Core Promoter of the Company has transferred 7,00,000 equity shares to each of his children (other promoters) namely, 1) Ms. Nisha Purushothaman, 2) Mr. Shaji Purushothaman, 3) Ms. Sheena Purushothaman, 4) Mr. Sheeju Purushothaman aggregating to 28,00,000 equity shares from his shareholding by way of gift on June 15, 2009.

The stock was trading at Rs.88.15, down by Rs.1.85 or 2.06%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.90.90 and low of Rs.87.

The total traded quantity was 1527 compared to 2 week average of 12392.
