Bajaj Holdings approves preferential issue of warrants

Bajaj Holdings & Investment Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on June 12, 2009, has approved the proposal for issue on a Preferential basis to the promoter, entity / entities of promoter group in accordance with the 'Guidelines for Preferential Issues' contained in Chapter XIII of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Disclosure and Investor Protection) Guidelines, 2000, upto 10,110,000 Warrants, entitling the warrant holders to apply for equivalent number of fully paid equity shares of the Company, subject to approval of the shareholders at the 64th Annual General Meeting of the Company scheduled on July 16, 2009 at the registered office of the Company.

The stock closed the day at Rs.461.55, down by Rs.9.10 or 1.93%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.480 and low of Rs.439.

The total traded quantity was 47350 compared to 2 week average of 121089.
