Suryachakra Power seeks EGM approval for Euro 100 Million GDR, FCCB issue

Suryachakra Power Corporation Ltd has announced that an Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the Company will be held on January 17, 2009, inter alia, for issue and allotment of 65,00,000 convertible warrants on preferential basis to the promoters group.

To raise Euro 100 millions by issue of GDR's / FCCB's.

The Suryachakra Power Corporation stock was trading at Rs.11.98, up by Rs.1.17 or 10.82%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.12.61 and low of Rs.10.51.

The total traded quantity was 120426 compared to 2 week average of 72435.
