Sugs Lloyd Secures Strategic Fault Passage Indicator Order from DGVCL

Sugs Lloyd Limited, a leading integrated EPC player focused on electrical transmission and distribution, solar and civil projects, today announced that it has secured a turnkey contract from Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL). The prestigious order involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Fault Passage Indicators (FPls) to significantly enhance fault detection capabilities across 7 KV to 13 KV overhead lines.

This contract marks a pivotal milestone for SUGS Lloyd, strengthening its foothold in Gujarat - one of India's most progressive states in power distribution-and further fuelling the company's nationwide strategy of driving innovation and reliability in energy infrastructure.

Key Project Highlights:

- Installation of state-of-the-art FPls using insulated hot sticks (20 KV) at every 600-metre unit

- Designed to boost grid resilience, minimise downtime, and ensure faster restoration during outages

- Completion scheduled within two months, following a 45-day mobilisation period

The deployment of FPIs is expected to transform the fault management process by providing utilities with real-time detection, thereby reducing outage durations and improving consumer satisfaction. For DGVCL, one of Gujarat's key distribution companies, the project will play a crucial role in advancing operational efficiency and delivering more reliable electricity to millions of households and businesses.
