Shri Narayanan Thirupathy appointed as Part time Non-official Independent Director on the Board of REC

Ministry of Power (MoP), Government of India had communicated the appointment of Shri Narayanan Thirupathy as Part time Non-official Independent Director on the Board of REC Limited for a period of three years from the date of notification of appointment or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Accordingly, after compliance of applicable statutory provisions, Shri Narayanan Thirupathy (DIN 10063245) has been appointed as Part time Non-official Independent Director on the Board of REC Limited with effect from March 6, 2023. Further, it is submitted that in terms of MoP Order dated March 3, 2023, his tenure will be upto March 2, 2026 (i.e. three years from the date of notification of his appointment) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Further, it is informed that Shri Narayanan Thirupathy has given declaration that he is not debarred from holding the office of Director by of virtue of any SEBI Order or any other such authority.

Shares of REC Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 121.45 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 118.10. The total number of shares traded during the day was 403648 in over 3967 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 122.20 and intraday low of 118.20. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 48773064.00.
