Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, posted its strongest year-on-year dispatch growth of 44% in February 2026, selling 558,216 units compared to 388,068 units last year.
Motorcycles led with 499,756 units dispatched, while scooters surged ahead at 58,460 units, fueled by refreshed models like Xoom and Destini. The 100cc-125cc motorcycle segment provided substantial volume growth, and domestic dispatches totaled 516,968 units with exports up 34% to 41,248 units. Year-to-date FY 2026, total dispatches reached 5,870,636 units from 5,349,583 units previously.
VAHAN registrations grew 18% to 458,346 units (data as of March 1, excluding Telangana). VIDA, the electric mobility arm, scaled threefold in market share with 12,514 registrations, underscoring rising EV adoption.
The company's global business expanded double-digits across markets, driven by premium portfolio demand. Hero MotoCorp earned accolades including Two-Wheeler Manufacturer of the Year at BBC TopGear India Awards 2026 (with Glamour X 125 and Xtreme 250R wins) and Auto Excellence Awards 2026 by CarBike360 (Glamour X 125 as Bike of the Year, VIDA as Two-Wheeler EV Brand of the Year).
