Nestle India´s Plant in Uttaranchal commences the initial phase of production

Nestle India Ltd has announced that the Company has commissioned on schedule the initial phase of its 7th factory, in Uttaranchal. The first despatch of MAGGI 2-Minute Noodles rolled out yesterday.

Similar to the other plants of the Company the emphasis has been on high quality, safety and efficient use of energy. It will leverage Nestle S.A.´s technological and R&D expertise to produce products that deliver value to consumers.

In his message Mr Martial Rolland, Chairman and Managing Director of the Company said, "We had set ourselves very ambitious timelines. Completion of the initial phase in less than seven months is a new benchmark and reflects the capability, professionalism and dedication of our team."
