NHPC Limited approves raising Rs. 2000 crores

The Board of Directors of NHPC Limited in its meeting held today i.e. Thursday, 27th July, 2017 (commenced at 11.00 A.M and concluded at 02:45 P.M.) has considered and approved the proposal of raising corporate debentures / bonds aggregating to Rs.2000 crore instead of Rs.5000 crore on Private Placement Basis subject to Shareholders' Approval through special resolution in the next Annual General Meeting of the Company.

Shares of NHPC LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.30.3 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 30.75. The total number of shares traded during the day was 1270927 in over 4095 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 31.05 and intraday low of 30.1. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 38736301.
