NTPC Ltd raises Rs. 655 crores

NTPC Ltd has raised Rs. 655 crore through private placement of secured non-convertible debentures at a coupon of 8.33% p.a. with a 5 year door-to-door maturity on February 24, 2016. The proceeds will be utilized to finance capital expenditure / refinancing the debt requirement in on-going projects including recoupment of expenditure already incurred.

Shares of NTPC LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.118.7 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 123.9. The total number of shares traded during the day was 597844 in over 5620 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 122 and intraday low of 118.25. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 71924231.
