HMT to increase share capital to Rs. 2100 crore

The Board of Directors of HMT Ltd at its meeting held on May 29, 2013, have considered and approved the Increase in Authorised Share Capital of the Company from Rs. 1450 Crore to Rs. 2100 Crore subject to approval of the Government and Shareholders. The Board also approved the issue and allotment of fully paid redeemable cumulative 3.5% Preference Share Capital of the face value of Rs. 443 Cr. in favour of President of India as per the terms of sanction of the investment by Government.

Shares of HMT Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs.28.65, up by Rs.0.35 or 1.24%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.29.85 and low of Rs.28.40.

The total traded quantity was 0.13 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 0.19 lakhs.
