Vijaya Bank allots 2,28,72,258 Shares to LIC

Vijaya Bank's Allotment Committee in its meeting held on March 31, 2012 has approved for allotting 2,28,72,258 shares of Rs. 10/- each on preferential basis to LIC of India at a premium of Rs. 54.27 per share (i.e. at a price of Rs. 64.27) aggregating to Rs. 147,00,00,021.66 to LICI. The said shares shall rank pari-passu in all respects (including dividend) with the exiting shares.

The Vijaya Bank stock was trading at Rs.59.45, up by Rs.1.05 or 1.80%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.59.95 and low of Rs.58.45.

The total traded quantity was 1.69 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 1.95 lakhs.
