SBI allots 3,60,45,243 Equity Shares

The Executive Committee of the Central Board of State Bank of India, in its Meeting held on March 30, 2012, has approved the issuance and allotment of 3,60,45,243 (Three Crore Sixty Lac Forty-five Thousand Two Hundred & Forty-three) Equity Shares at an Issue Price of Rs. 2,191.69 (Rs. Two Thousand One Hundred Ninety-one and paise Sixty-nine Only) per share (face value Rs. 10/- each, at a premium of Rs. 2,181.69 per share), to GoI by way of preferential allotment.

The State Bank of India stock closed the day at Rs.2095, up by Rs.33.40 or 1.62%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.2109.15 and low of Rs.2066.

The total traded quantity was 5.38 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 6.53 lakhs.
