United Breweries allots 709578 Equity Shares in terms of Scheme of Amalgamation

Pursuant upon amalgamation of UB Ajanta Breweries Private Limited (UB Ajanta) into United Breweries Limited (UBL) as per the Scheme of Amalgamation (Scheme) sanctioned by the Hon'ble Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction, the Committee of Directors of UBL have at its meeting held on March 12, 2012, approved allotment of 7,09,578 Equity Shares of Re. 1 each of UBL to the eligible shareholders of UB Ajanta in terms of the Scheme.

The United Breweries Ltd stock closed the day at Rs.540.05, up by Rs.83.70 or 18.34%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.547.60 and low of Rs.456.20.

The total traded quantity was 4.68 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 0.13 lakhs.
