L&T allots 289858 Shares

Larsen & Toubro Ltd has allotted 2,89,858 (Two Lakh Eighty Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Eight) shares on March 02, 2012 to those grantees who had exercised their options under the Company's Employee Stock Ownership / Option Schemes.

The said shares will rank pari-passu with the existing shares of the Company in all respects.

The stock closed the day at Rs.1299.25, up by Rs.21.25 or 1.66%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.1319.90 and low of Rs.1272.25.

The total traded quantity was 4.87 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 5.02 lakhs.
